Disappointment: A Necessary Evil for Change

Throughout the years, humanity has reached a level of dependence on others. Pride and ego have been the culprit of losing independence. By seeking approval of others, we have allowed their views to shape our beliefs. If that’s not bad enough, we will fight and do whatever needs to be done to defend our beliefs. Where does disappointment come in? Well, in order to change yourself, your community, or your world, you have to be willing to disappoint SOMEONE. Furthermore, you will have to disappoint a great number of people. You see, people resist change. People will fight to remain in their comfort zone. In order to help our selves, we must resist the comfort zone, in order to help others, we must remove them from theirs.       Average people see a comfort zone as peace, quiet, serene, even if it’s not. They see their comfort zone as normal and sometimes as success. Successful people always have a goal and are rarely comfortable in their endeavors. The transition of becoming successful from being average can be tough. It involves a great deal of disappointing others. It involves risks, failures, and lessons. These are things no loved one wants to see you go through. In their mind, your goal is not visible, only your current results are. They cannot see the big picture, they live day by day concentrating on fear. You, cannot afford to concentrate on fear. This discord causes friction between you, person breaking out of the average and into success, and an average person such as your loved ones. They don’t want to see you fail, they don’t want to see you in pain, and they don’t want to see you succeed because that world is unknown to them.

The unknown is where everything you don’t have is present. It is where everything you wish to experience lies. The unknown is outside of your comfort zone. My advice? Be willing to disappoint everyone and seek no one’s approval. Hang on to your values, those will serve you, but do not hang on to those limiting beliefs that hold you back. Take off the filtered mask and make decisions for yourself. Money is NOT evil. That is something someone told you. It’s a currency that allows us to afford what we want and help our families, communities, and countries. This is just one of the limiting beliefs that are holding you back. If you want to change, you must disappoint many, and you may find yourself walking the path alone while you search for other on their path to success. My advice? Find someone who has already done it. Talk to this person and ask for his/her help. Tell them you need to have people around you that prove that your goal can be achieved. Most will understand what you mean. If ever doubt and fear enter your heart or your mind, reach out to the people who have never doubted you. Only they can help. Stay away from the Nay Sayers until you’re experiencing visible results. Until then, you need the strength of believers.

Life is full of miracles, but these happen outside of your comfort zone. Disappointment is a necessary evil for change. You must disappoint someone even if they mean well. At some point you will have to disappoint coworkers, family members, kids, etc. Hold your vision close, and know that your path will change the people around you. They may walk away, they may temporarily step away, or they may stick by your side even if they think you’re crazy. Respect their inability to see your path, and wish them well as you continue on your path to change.

Accountability

Many people know what the word accountability means and what it stands for, but few actually exercise it. Most people run from the concept and look to blame instead of being accountable.  Others look for services such as trainers and life coaches to help them be accountable.  This is my take on accountability and responsibility based on what I have seen. As a transformation specialist, it is my job to guide people in the direction of where their dreams lie so that they can move forward right away.

One of the most important things I teach people is accountability. It seems many people have lost the notion of having power and responsibility because of a society that justifies actions with blame.  I would like to leave the words “fault” and “blame” behind and focus only on cause. Cause has brought us all to where we are because we have the choice of how we react to what happens to us. We decide if we learn the lessons, and we decide if we repeat the mistakes. WE are at cause. We are at cause for being worried and stressed, we are at cause for being angry, anxious, and fearful. Our thoughts about situations and our focus cause us to feel the way we do making us be at cause. Every cause has an effect though, and that is where our power lies. If we can remain accountable for our thoughts, emotions, actions, and realize our bodies mostly react to our thoughts, then we can change the effects. We CAN change the results in our lives. Accountability is accepting that we are at cause and have the power to change the effects.

The importance of being accountable is found in the ability to change our perception of our circumstances. Perception, or how we see things, can help us find the solutions we often seek. Being accountable of our perception is powerful. Learning the lessons sooner than later builds confidence, saves time, and makes the journey more enjoyable. It’s like being in school and understanding the homework assignment as soon as it is given. It’s like knowing that the assignment must still be done, but also knowing that because you understood the lesson, you will have much more time for play after completing it.

Without internal reflection, it is difficult to keep our power. We must look inside ourselves and ask what we can do about the situation and how we can act on it now. We can also seek advice from those who are on the “outside looking in” and ask for their perspective. Most importantly though, we must hold on tightly to our power. Never let anyone tell you that you are a victim, because that robs you of your power. You cannot be the Victim and the Vitor simultaneously. Victims are at the mercy of others. Victors are the true Alchemists of life, they take the cards they are dealt, the cards they drew, and the cards they created, and turn every situation into a golden opportunity because they are always accountable. So experience the power of accountability and take charge of your life today.

Our Philosophies are our Strengths

In 2014, my dream came to life as the establishment of Evolution Revolution.  My idea was to Educate, Inspire, and Empower people to Transform their lives. Before this idea came to life, I had to study and do research on why people do what they do, and why they don’t do what they don’t do. Human behavior and psychology seemed to be the most popular sciences that showed results in the change of human behavior. Unfortunately, they are based on diagnosing and labeling people’s behaviors and in turn, people themselves. I had to find another way.

In my search I found various disciplines that promote the ability for ANYONE to change, and the responsibility for one’s own actions.  No labeling, no condemning, just resolving. It was a form of solution based thinking. As I further looked into these disciplines, I found many of them looped and connected to each other. So what are these disciplines and what do they do?

The first discipline is NeuroLinguistics Programming (NLP). I like to capitalize “Linguistics” because body and verbal languages are extremely important to this practice.  As in the name, this practice aims to rewire the unconscious behavior removing the pressure off of sheer WILL.  In his book, “The Biology of Belief,” Bruce Lipton, a biologist formerly researcher at Stanford University, reveals that the unconscious/subconscious mind controls the body 95% of the time and the conscious mind only 5%. This is why habits and behaviors that have been reinforced through time are so difficult to get rid of. NLP techniques are immensely useful to reprogram the part of the mind most people do not know how to access.   NLP also reinforces the use of language, both verbal and physical to develop and enhance communication skills. This particular study helps in relationships, work environment, sales, and self programming.  Of course NLP goes a lot deeper than what I mention here. In fact, Tony Robbins has used NLP techniques throughout his career. He has mentioned NLP in several interviews.

The second discipline is the famous “Law of Attraction (LOA).”  This is also known as Rhonda Byrnes named it “The Secret.”  The basic explanation of this is “Energy flows where attention goes.”  In Albert Einstein’s words, “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.” The power of thought, the power of visualization, and the power of focus are all variations of ways to tune into what we desire. In one explanation by Abraham Hicks, it is said that one must tune into the radio station frequency to receive the signals. This is what Einstein meant by matching the frequency. In our seminars and coaching sessions, LOA techniques are used to further enhance confidence and increase probability of success. Learn how to “tune into” the frequency of the reality you want by joining us at http://www.myevolutionrevolution.com.

Transformation comes from the changes that are necessary inside and out. Feel the way you want to feel and do the things that need to be done in order to achieve success. This is not magic, YOU MUST DO THE WORK.  The processes we use are for guidance and facilitation, but it is the client that must have what is necessary to succeed. What is it that you need to bring?

1) Commitment: Your level of commitment will determine your results. Show up and be present. If you schedule, you are expected to show up. Attention is required and you will receive the benefits fully.

2) Faith: You must believe in something. You can call it God, the Universe, Your Higher Self, Buddha, Etc.  Faith of any kind, is necessary to follow through. Most people quit what they doubt and do not believe in.

3) Honesty: Lying to yourself is no longer allowed. Be prepared to face your demons and be honest with yourself. This is the only way you will be able to extract the negative thoughts and target negative behaviors that are holding you back.

4) Willingness: Be willing to learn, to accept, to change, and to WORK FOR IT. Be willing to be guided through these processes. We cannot help anyone who does not want help. Then again, who doesn’t want any help at all? At some point in life, we all need someone else.
